So I've only upgraded my bike very recently, and as it was quite a hefty price, I've been taking really good care of it.
What I didn't really factor into the equation is how much repairs will cost whenever anything goes wrong!
I was cycling over Vauxhall Bridge and there was a load of smashed glass in the cycle path that completely slashed my front tyre. The road busy with cars and lots of bikes behind me, so I couldn't jump off straight away, but had to carry on to the end of the bridge to avoid an accident. The slash was so bad that the air was completely drained from the tyre and by not getting off straight away, the weight has completely messed up my wheel!
The guys in the bike shop are trying to re-true it, but they think I might need to buy a replacement - which is a small fortune!
I can't afford a new wheel, so if that's the case I'm going to be straight on Wonga.com to get a pay day loan, I need my bike every day and can't wait until I get paid to get it sorted!
What a disastrous day!
